Delivery Procedures/Policies

Delivery Area
Rothman proudly offers Delivery & In-Home Service, and we don't leave your satisfaction with your purchase to anyone else! We own and operate our own delivery fleet so you will receive competent and friendly service from Rothman Employees. While we hope one day to be able to ship world-wide, Rothman currently offers delivery in the St. Louis Metro area. Please note that some areas can only be delivered on certain days of the week.

If you live just outside our normal delivery area, we still may be able to offer you Delivery Service. Extended Area deliveries are available at a special rate. Ask a sales representative for details.

Delivery Charges
Whether you are purchasing one item or a truckload, Rothman Delivery and In-Home Service is a sensational value at only $89 (if delivered within our normal Delivery Area). Extended delivery areas are available at an extra charge but do not include the In-Home Service Warranty. Some items requiring extensive in-home assembly (such as bunk-beds) have an additional set-up fee of $29.

Delivery Service
Our Delivery Service includes uncartoning/uncrating of purchased items. We then recycle or discard all packaging materials and complete all assembly for you. A certified Furniture Finisher inspects each item and tests all working or moving parts and touches up any minor flaws left from the manufacturing process. The items are then protected with thick blanket wraps and safely transported to your home on a date pre-arranged with you. Two Rothman Employees will carefully bring the merchandise into your home and set it up for you.

In-Home Service Warranty
Manufacturer warranties do not cover transportation of defective items or labor charges for repair. Rothman Delivery Service also includes one year of In-Home Service, meaning, if you should experience a Manufacturing Defect, during the first year of ownership, Rothman will send a professional service technician to your home to evaluate and repair the defect if covered under the Manufacturer Warranty. Customers who choose to pick up their furniture are responsible for all transportation of defective items.

* In-Home Service is not available on Floor Samples and As-Is items.

What You Should Know about Delivery

Rothman Furniture delivers over 250 square miles daily, so we are unable to give an exact time of delivery. Please schedule your delivery to arrive on a day someone will be home all day. Any estimated time given is an estimate only and is not a guarantee.

Any cancellation or change of delivery address within 48 hours of your scheduled delivery could result in additional delivery charges. Please be certain of the day you choose.

Prior to delivery, clear the room as well as the pathway to the room where your new furniture will be placed. Be sure to move any breakable and/or valuable items from the area.

Be sure to measure carefully, not only the space your selection will fill, but to be sure the item will fit through doorways and down the entire path to the desired room as well as go around any corners, down stairwells, inside freight elevator, or any other areas during the delivery process. You will be charged the delivery fee and a re-stocking fee if items are returned because they do not fit.

Delivery Service does NOT include:

  • Moving or removal of your old furniture or any other household items.
  • Removal of old bedding that is not in plastic bags (can be provided by any Rothman store).
  • Moving or set-up of electronic equipment
  • Hanging or installation of pictures, mirrors or other wall accessories.
  • Home alterations such as removal of doors, door frames, banisters, etc. in order for furniture to fit.

For safety reasons, Delivery personnel will not be able to remove their shoes before entering your home.

Pick-up of Merchandise

You may choose to pick up your selection at our Central Warehouse in O'Fallon, MO or at any store location.

Pick-up orders that are confirmed In-Stock by our Internet Help Desk with you after your order is placed will be available for immediate pick-up at our Central Warehouse. If you choose to have your order shipped to a more convenient store location, the Help Desk will give you an approximate date your order will arrive. You will receive a call confirming your order is at the store location and ready for pick-up. Please wait for this call before traveling to the store.

In-Home Service is not available on merchandise which is picked up.

If a manufacturer defect is discovered upon opening your merchandise, you will be responsible for transportation of the item(s) in the original cartons back to the original pick-up location for exchange within 7 days.

You may load your own items, but if you choose to have our employees assist you, please keep in mind that Rothman is not responsible for damage to your vehicle while loading, nor any subsequent damage or injury during the transportation of your items.

Please bring a vehicle capable of accommodating your purchase. We regret that we cannot tie any item to the roof of vehicles or assist in loading any vehicle we deem unsafe for transportation of merchandise. Rothman is not responsible for damage or loss of merchandise once you leave our dock.

Please note that many furniture items require assembly. If unsure, please ask before loading your selection.
